This is my first rendered 3D model that I made while teaching myself Maya and Substance Painter. Later, I touched it up just a little bit as shown below. I added more texture to the tea set as well as adding more textures with the spoons and the illusion of tea in the cups. This render experiment taught me the importance of mapping the objects well. I later took classes in Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter that taught me more efficient work flows.

This was my second model design and render. With this object, I focused on texture. On one side is the pristine tea pot, and on the other side I focused on an item that might be found in a game such as Skyrim or Fallout, weathered, worn, and tarnish…

This was my second model design and render. With this object, I focused on texture. On one side is the pristine tea pot, and on the other side I focused on an item that might be found in a game such as Skyrim or Fallout, weathered, worn, and tarnished. For the holly, I designed it in Adobe Photoshop, then stenciled it onto the pot in Substance Painter.

From there, I took a crazy jump and began modeling an owl.

Feathers are a pain.
